Spillway Recreation Area

The Spillway Recreation Area is one of the nicest day use areas on Lake Ouachita.  If you want to enjoy beautiful scenery, an awesome swim beach, shaded picnic tables, all in an out of the way place, you will love the Spillway Recreation Area.

The recreation area is in a cove and hidden from the wind and the main part of the lake.  There is a very nice marina (Echo Canyon Marina) located right across the cove.

There are some minor day-use fees for use of the boat ramp and beach.

This is a beautiful park that does not get as much use as it should.  If you want to enjoy a day at Lake Ouachita, we highly recommend the Spillway Recreation Area.
