Joplin Campground

The Joplin campground and recreational use area is a beautiful campground that extends well into the lake. This allows for plenty of campsites with wonderful lake views. The camping in this park is somewhat primitive and the ground is uneven. This campsite is not recommended for large RVs.

The Mountain Harbor Resort and Spa are just a stone’s throw away. This makes it easy should you need any items that you left at home.

Located on the south side of the lake, Joplin offers 65 campsites with ground and pedestal grills, a concrete table, a lantern post and shaded areas. This site is not recommended for RV’s, large trailers or slide outs. Guests will have water, showers and flush toilets. There is a swim beach, a boat ramp and a fish cleaning station. A full-service marina and boat rental is nearby.

This is a beautiful campground with plenty of shade and great views of Lake Ouachita.  There is also a lookout / platform area called Micah’s Pointe with beautiful views of Lake Ouachita if you want to take some photos or just take in the wonderful views.
